I thought a lot of things would have happened by 40. Marriage, kids, some kind of grounded, structured timeline… As my chaotic whirlwind 30s transforms into my as-yet-undreamt 40s, I feel fortunate to be able to cross this river with you, and finding blessings in not knowing what lies ahead.

In a Chinese legend, a fish that keeps jumping at an impossibly high gate becomes a dragon when it passes the other side. Perhaps we are fish, snakes, hummingbirds, as we find our inner dragon. I want to evolve with all of you, into our next forms.
